COLINS was created so people with stomas never need to choose between looking good and feeling good, ever again.
STOMA STATE OF PLAY
Over 55,000 Australians live with a stoma, and globally, that number increases significantly into the millions – among them 55% men and 45% women.
These numbers are only expected to grow, highlighting just how important it is to provide practical, thoughtful clothing solutions that help people with stomas live confidently and comfortably.
THE PROBLEM: CONFOUNDING CLOTHING CONUNDRUM
Despite the growing number of people with stomas, the mainstream clothing brands and broader fashion industry have largely overlooked this community’s needs - particularly males.
With limited alternative options, people with stomas are forced to wear clothes which are are not designed for, and do not accommodate their bodies. As a result, people with stomas are often forced to compromise on choosing between comfort and style, or worse, giving up clothes working for them.
THE SOLUTION: “IF IT DOESN’T EXIST, CREATE IT”.
At the heart of our mission is a simple idea: if the market isn’t meeting a need, it’s time to fill the gap.
Recognising this profound gap in the market, we decided to take action. Our solution? To create a line of pants specifically designed for people with stomas.
COLINS are designed to accommodate the bodies and lifestyles of people with stomas. Every detail is crafted with intention, ensuring both function and fashion come together seamlessly to create a trouser that is versatile in scenarios, comfortable to wear and delivers confidence to the person wearing it.
COLINS’ mission
Our aim is for COLINS to help empower people with stomas to embrace every day with the confidence they deserve - because everyone should feel great in what they wear, regardless of what’s on their stomach.
