Let me introduce myself: I’m Henry Dalgleish, the founder of COLINS. I grew up in Naarm (Melbourne), Australia, and I’m the (perhaps unconventional) mind behind a line of pants designed with a specific purpose—helping people with stomas live confidently and comfortably.

You might be wondering:

  • Why would a government employee with no fashion background start a clothing brand?

  • Who even cares?

Fair questions, and ones I’ve asked myself too. But here’s the thing: COLINS was born out of necessity. Our mission is simple yet powerful: to empower people with stomas by creating stylish, functional, and comfortable pants.

My Story

In 2020, I underwent life-saving surgery that left me with a stoma. It wasn’t an easy journey—I battled physical and emotional challenges, and my recovery was grueling. Clothing became my armor, a way to feel a semblance of confidence as I navigated this new reality.

But there was always a catch: the pants I wore to feel good about myself never truly fit my needs. They lacked the comfort and functionality required for someone with a stoma.

In April 2024, when my stoma became permanent, I decided I’d had enough of compromising style for comfort—or vice versa. If the solution didn’t exist, I’d create it myself.

And that’s how COLINS came to life.
